Gisou is born out of a passion for bees, haircare and natural beauty. Based on a six-generation beekeeping heritage, each Gisou product is inspired by and made with the finest, sustainably sourced ingredients from our very own Mirsalehi Bee Garden. With this method, our founder Negin and her father continue the family tradition of beekeeping. Our hair care and complexion products harness the transformative benefits of Mirsalehi Honey and rich botanical sources, selected to enhance ones natural beauty.
We are committed to a bee-friendly & sustainable production method that puts the Mirsalehi Honey Bees first, not only for the sake of the bees, but the greater ecosystem as well. In the upcoming years, we intend to continue to develop high-quality honey infused beauty products as we develop a globally renowned label and raise awareness about the importance of a healthy bee population.
We have been experiencing double digital growth YoY and have established ourselves as a leading hair care line across our global retailers such as Sephora, Selfridges, Mecca, and Harrods. ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Digital and Web Experience Designer at Gisou you will be responsible for creating captivating & innovating designs for use across all our digital platforms and programs to create the best in class consumer journeys.
Reporting directly to VP of Creative with dotted line to the VP of Ecommerce, Data and Digtal, you will work closely with our in-house creative studio and collaborate with ecommerce and digital teams to translate our brand creative DNA into compelling and UX-compliant digital assets and campaigns across gisou.com (UK, EU & US), digital media & CRM & loyalty programs as well as partner websites ensuring brand visual consistency across all platforms and consumer touchpoints.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with the VP of Creative, ecommerce, and digital teams to understand project requirements, brand guidelines, and creative direction.
Gather Requirements: Meet with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and understand the goals and audience of each project, ensuring alignment with the overall global brand strategy.
Create Digital Assets: Design and produce best practice digital assets to shape our ecommerce site experience from hero design to web animations, create captivating product and landing pages, design engaging CRM emails and digital media campaigns.
Iterate on Design Solutions: Develop initial design concepts and refine them based on feedback from stakeholders and data;
Ensure Brand Consistency: Maintain and uphold the brand aesthetic DNA across all digital assets and consumer journey, ensuring consistency in style, tone, and our brand visual identity.
Manage Timelines: Ensure projects are delivered on time by managing your workload and coordinating with other team members.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of your work and others’ to ensure all digital assets meet high UX/ UI principles and standards and align with the project requirements, our creative direction and global brand strategy;
Technical Skills and Tools
Proficiency in Design Software: Use tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, Figma, and others to prototype, create and collaborate on digital assets.
Stay Updated on Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies to ensure our digital assets remain current, competitive and innovative.
Present Designs: Quickly translate ideas into sketches, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes. Effectively communicate design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, explaining your thought process and how it aligns with the project goals and interplay with other channels;
Feedback Loop: Be open to receiving and incorporating feedback from various team members and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and iterative design process.
Analyze Performance: Use analytics tools to measure the performance of digital assets and campaigns, making data-driven decisions to optimize them for best consumer experience and strongest business impact;

Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and assess the effectiveness of design solutions, iterating and improving based on performance metrics and user feedback and share the learnings with all relevant teams.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio of interactive, mobile-first projects (websites, digital media and CRM)
- Experienced User Experience Design (UXD), ideally for headless CMS such as Contentful
- Excellent knowledge of the UX best practice in e-commerce and familiarity with front-end technologies and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Vue.js)
- Proficiency in design & prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite
- A minimum of 3 years experience in the design thinking process, agile development, and lean startup methodologies within an e-commerce environment
- Experience with user-centered design, rapid prototyping, and user testing
- Experience creating digital assets for a variety of target audiences
- Strong portfolio showing the breadth of digital design capabilities
