Job Description: IoT and Digital Twin Solution Architect
We are seeking an experienced IoT and Digital Twin Solution Architect to join our Smart Places and Things/IOT and Digital Twin sub-offering within the Data and AI division. This role involves business development, presales, and project execution for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Smart Manufacturing/Industry 4.0, and Defense and Maritime Simulations. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level knowledge in IoT solutions for both hardware and software development from a solution architect perspective.
Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Presales: Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and propose innovative IoT and Digital Twin solutions.

Solution Architecture: Design comprehensive IoT and Digital Twin architectures that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and meet client requirements.

Project Execution: Lead the implementation of IoT and Digital Twin projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Technical Expertise: Provide expert advice on IoT hardware and software solutions, including system integration, data management, and analytics.

Client Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business and technical problems, translating them into requirements, and shaping solutions.

Documentation and Governance: Document solutions thoroughly and govern them internally to ensure deliverability and alignment with commercial aspects.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and partners to deliver high-quality solutions.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typically, 5+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Prior experience working on cross-functional team projects, leading small projects, or workstreams in architecture.

Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology.

Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language

Example Projects and Responsibilities

Noadataservice System: Architect and develop in-house IoT infrastructure systems, including device management, client management, and data ingestion.

Environmental Monitoring Systems: Lead the design and development of hardware systems for monitoring environmental factors, collaborating with international hardware teams.

Tailings Facilities Management: Design automated management systems for the mining industry, integrating satellite imagery and various measurements to predict and prevent failures.

Farm IoT Systems: Develop comprehensive IoT systems for agriculture using cloud-based platforms like Azure IoT Hub, enhancing daily farm management and driving related business activities.

Project Management Systems: Develop online project management and document management systems, incorporating advanced data analysis and real-time monitoring tools.
